CREATIVE WE ADORE: KATELYN KOSINSKI - WOODBURY LANE

Woodbury Lane has classic and simple style clothing for women. We like to say that it’s an online shop curated for the well dressed girl-next-door.

We are so excited about featuring this absolute #GIRLBOSS, Katelyn Kosinski, who started her own company, Woodbury Lane, straight out of college. Woodbury Lane is an online boutique that sells perfectly curated clothes and accessories tailored for the stylish, but totally unpretentious girl. Not only does she run this shop, but she also runs an awesome lifestyle blog, Katelyn Now. You may be seeing a collaboration between A&A and Woodbury Lane sometime this year (shhhh), so read on to learn more about her and her company.

WHAT ARE SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT YOURSELF?

Something most people probably don’t expect about me is that I’m a complete nerd in every sense of the word. I love reading and writing, I enjoy listening to audiobooks on financial investing and self-help, I know way more Star Wars trivia than I’d like to admit, and I practice meditation almost daily. Like I said...total nerd. Another thing most people don’t know about me if they know me through social media is that I was a dancer for 20 years of my life! It was such a huge part of my childhood/young adult life and has played a huge role in making me the person I am today. Oh and my most recent interesting fact is that I just moved from Wisconsin to Florida!

WHAT IS WOODBURY LANE & WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO START YOUR COMPANY?

Woodbury Lane is an online clothing and accessories shop. I decided to start it up right after graduating college because I already had a pretty solid online community from my blog. I was looking for ways to be more creative while capitalizing on the internet following I already had and I’ve had a love for retail for years.

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOUR COMPANY OFFERS?

Woodbury Lane has classic and simple style clothing for women. We like to say that it’s an online shop curated for the well dressed girl-next-door. We also have accessories and a few items that were handmade by local creatives exclusively for our shop!

DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE!

For years I would have considered my style as very classic. I worked at Gap for 3.5 years and that truly made me a tee-shirt and jeans kind of girl. Lately, although I still lean towards neutrals, I’ve branched out to some bohemian style pieces and subtle trends.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?

So much! It’s 2016 and I feel like inspiration is everywhere. One of my favorite places to go to for inspiration is podcasts, specifically The Lively Show :) I’m also inspired by nonfiction books and hearing other peoples life stories. As far as style inspo, Instagram is my go-to.

WHO IS YOUR STYLE ICON?

Audrey Hepburn. From her short hair to her feminine outfits, her style is was so timeless and idyllic.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE ACCESSORY?

Shoes no doubt. The shoes will make or break the outfit!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FUTURE ASPIRATIONS?

Considering I’ve started my own blog and company, it shouldn’t be surprising that I want to start something else some day! I’ve always thought about starting some sort of community that focuses on women and mental health, but I’ve yet to decide the medium for something like this. When the time is right in my life I will know :) In addition, I want to write a memoir some day which is also something that I’m not entirely sure of it’s purpose or direction yet, but would most likely be targeted towards millennial women.
